So I thought, it was a really important record for me, and I just thought it would be really fun to get up there and play the whole thing.“The Fumbling Towards Ecstasy 30th Anniversary Tour, which will feature Allison Russell and Feist as special guests, will kick off on May 25 in Seattle and she’ll make stops in major cities like Salt Lake City, Kansas City, Chicago, Toronto, Boston and Nashville before wrapping on July 6 in Sugar Land, Texas.McLachlan indeed plans to play the album from start to finish — but she’s still deciding if she’ll stay true to the originals or “mess with them a little bit.“Fumbling Towards Ecstasywas first released on Oct. 22, 1993 via Le Studio. So that’s probably been the most monumental shift in my life,” she says of her daughters, Taja Summer and India Ann, whom she says will be present at her shows.She continues, “And I think one of the things about this record, it was the easiest record I ever wrote. I was single for the first time in my adult life and felt very unencumbered and free to be very selfish.
