She added that she was “able to learn from all of you,” and continued, “so just thank you for all the love and support.”
In her toast, Meghan expressed tapping back into “creativity that I’ve missed so much,” and concluded with “Thank you for loving me so much and celebrating with me. Cheers, guys.”
To this, Harry replied, “To you!”

The sentiment echoes what Meghan said during her tour of Colombia with Prince Harry in August 2024. During theAfro-Descendant Women and Power: Voices of Equitysummit on Aug. 18, which spotlighted Afro-Colombian women leaders speaking out about the challenges they face as a result of racism, gender bias and other issues, she said she was looking at this time in her life asher “chapter of joy."
“The more that you are able to look at your life and really, truly recognize that if you’re going to be grateful for your life, you have to be grateful for all aspects of it — the parts that were opportunities for growth and may have felt really difficult, as well as the parts that feel inspiring, joyful and full,” she said.
Meghan said earlier in the eighth episode of the show, entitled “Feels Like Home,” that she was going to throw a celebration brunch because “I love a brunch party. There’s just something really charming about it, and I think it’s a great way to connect.”
“Of course, my husband will be here, my mom will be here, my best friend since college, just my community, having a brunch in the sunshine with the people that I love, celebrating this new chapter of my life.”
Of the brunch, Meghan said that it was meant to “be fun and definitely no pressure, just a good time.” The occasion had the stamp of approval of Harry, 40, who said of the event, “You did I really great job. I love it.”

Much of the eighth episode had an emotionally charged feel to it, including a voiceover in which Meghan said, “Just being home and connecting with friends, making new friends — I’m just so grateful for that, but also reconnecting with myself and just learning, right? I’ve always been curious.”
“Sharing all those discoveries and everything I love with the people that I love — it brings me so much joy,” she continued.

“It’s almost like ahoneymoon period again,” she adds, “because it’s exactly how it was in the beginning when he’d watch me scribbling away, writing newsletters, fine-tuning edits and just really being in the details of it. I think he loves watching as much as I love doing that creative process. It’s just been fun. This is who I’ve always been.”
