JuJu Watkinsstar is on the rise.
She’s also making a name for herself in the entertainment world with her documentary series “On The Rise: JuJu Watkins,” which gives fans a behind the scenes look at her life. And recently, the guard landed a campaign withNYX Professional Makeup, a brand that she says, aligns with her own approach to beauty.
“My beauty philosophy is all about self-expression,” she tells PEOPLE. “I believe beauty is deeply personal and unique to everyone. [So] I’m thrilled to be partnering with NYX Professional Makeup because their mission to inspire and encourage everyone to embrace their unique style really resonates with me.”
She collaborated on the brand’s “Make Them Look,” campaign which encourages female athletes to practice self-expression. She also appears on in-store displays nationwide, which she says was the best part of working with NYX because it shows, “their genuine commitment to empowering women in sports, especially women’s basketball.”

It’s a fitting role for Watkins who’s been called a “champion of authenticity,” something she says, “means always showing up as your true self — on and off the court.” She adds, “I believe when you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good, you play good. It’s about being comfortable in your own skin and owning who you are.“Her positivity resonates with her fans (she has one million Instagram followers) and she takes her role model status seriously. “I know that young girls and fans are looking up to me, now not just for how I play the game but for who I am as a person,” she says. “I want them to pursue their dreams and stay true to themselves.”
With basketball season in full swing, Watkins is focused on staying on top of her game and her glam. “I take pride in looking my best, whether that’s on the red carpet or the basketball court,” she says. Below, she shares the beauty and wellness products she’s loving right now.
