In anInstagram Q&Aon Wednesday, theSelling Sunsetstar, 36, opened up about how her breastfeeding experience has been since welcoming sonTristan, 7 months.
“Breastfeeding is literally my favorite thing. It’s such a bond with Tristan, especially the first-morning feed,” she shared. “That early morning feed, no one’s around, just me and him. Usually, I just have him in a diaper so we’re skin-to-skin and it’s just the best. I just love it so much.”
As her little one comes up on 8 months old, she recalled, “I really thought I’d do four months and then I was like okay, six months and now I’m coming up on eight months. Then I’m like, okay, I’ll go for a year. So I love it that much, but it hasn’t been easy. Breastfeeding is definitely hard and Tristan hadtongue tie, lip tie and cheek tie, which made it even harder in the beginning. And we got through that, we got the laser done and then we had the revision, which made it hard for him.”
The new mom admitted she has more thoughts she’s hoping to share soon, adding, “I’m going through some health struggles which affect my milk supply, so I feel like this needs a longer post.”

El Moussa first commented on her breastfeeding experiences just weeks after welcoming Tristan.
“Breastfeeding, for me, is definitely harder than I thought,” she wrote in a February post while seated in front of the base of her bed in a “BABE,” sweatshirt, cuddling her newborn. “Hard, butvery gratifying. I love it.”
“So I’m sure that I’ve been having the same journeys that you all went through,” she continued, “so I want to tell you guys my journeys and my strengths with everything, some of the challenges I’ve been having.”
“But, I love it. I love skin-to-skin. I love breastfeeding,” El Moussa added, saying that “luckily,” she has been “producing a lot of milk,” but overall, “it was harder than expected.”
El Moussa went on to note that she had to take her little one in for a doctor’s appointment. “My breastfeeding story to come,” she promised, adding a white heart over the post.
