Geologist Dave Petley of the American Geophysical Unionisn’t entirely convincedthat the collapse was instinctive , point to extensive engineering work done around the domain , and on the slope in special . “ The failure itself come along to have been structurally controlled , ” writes Petley . “ Note the very bombastic boulder sizes . ”
