The bulk of the new installment plays out rather tamely and lack the kind of tense confrontations that have made every other episode so delicious . Harvey ’s ranting at Batman ( or Bruce , if you prefer to face him as the billionaire playboy ) feels like it ’s hit excessively conversant beats . The other threat that Batman , Alfred , and Lucius Fox have to deal with never feel all that challenging and only one choice in the proceeding — whether to intercept a WayneTech taxi attack in the metropolis or arrest Dent ’s maraud at Wayne Manor — feel like it had any free weight .
The entire arc of Batman : The Telltale Series so far has been built on seditious surprises upending commonly - held Bat - canyon , apparently peaking with theoh - shit ! moment of last month ’s chapter . Maybe it ’s inevitable that the penultimate installment of Telltale ’s Batman would feel like a moment of a letdown after that climax . Here ’s hope that there ’s enough leave in the tarradiddle to make it finish with a bang and not a thud .
