It ’s not exactly the most radical of advance , but today Dyson announcedtwo new compact vacuumsthat now sport two banks of its patented cyclones that anticipate immensely improved suction . And while the ‘ just supply more ’ approach shot seems like it would be the easy road , it still took Dyson ’s locomotive engineer three years and 1,859 prototypes to perfect the new DC50 .
Both the upright DC50 and the thick DC47 canister vacuums fall with the Modern two - tier up system , but the individual cyclone have also been made little which results in the airwave moving quicker and greater sucking . The DC50 also comes with a redesign ego - adjusting cleaning head so it ’s just as efficacious at cleaning carpets as hard floors , and run across the motor moved from the swivel Lucille Ball to the top of the vacuity . Both the DC50 and DC47 are available in the UK as of today for$574and$510respectively , and will presumably finally make their way to the US market in the upcoming year .
