Get ready for your collective nostalgia eyeglass to kill , because the soundtrack for the new Beauty and the Beast is finally here .
Disney has release the full soundtrack onYouTubeandSpotify , giving us a peek at how the live - military action reboot has interpreted the iconic medicine of the original film . There are some definite stand - out carrying out . “ Belle ” is prominent and fun , “ The Mob Song ” really conveys Gaston ’s threat , and “ Gaston ” is set to be one of the motion picture ’s crowning moments , with some bright and engaging performance . frankly , any song with Luke Evans is immediately meliorate by his presence . There ’s also a new song by Céline Dion call “ How Does A Moment Last forever and a day . ” It ’s great , of trend , because Céline is corking .
That said , I in person have my reservations , and not just because of my own nostalgia monocle ( Belle is my princess ) . Emma Watson , while an ok singer , sounds a bit disconnected from the heart and spirit of the songs . It sound more like she ’s singing in church building than whole - heartedly belt out on a mountaintop about her hopes and dreams . Plus , Emma Thompson ’s speech pattern sounds really weird ( and Ewan McGregor ’s does n’t voice weird enough ! )
Of naturally , as Belle herself has taught us many times , you should n’t evaluate a book by its cover song . Any musical soundtrack is going to suffer from want of visuals , so I ’m pass to hold back and see ( and take heed ) for myself when Beauty and the Beast comes out March 17 . In the meanwhile , take an hearable gander for yourself . “ Gaston ” has a reasonably hilarious descent from LeFou about his interpretation comprehension skill .
