Brooke Shieldsis yet again proving her status as a fashion trailblazer.
The actress and fellow ‘90s iconElizabeth Hurley, both 58, appeared on the Wednesday, April 3 episode of Bravo’sWatch What Happens Liveto take a look back at some of their past style moments during the show’s segment “Versace or Hibachi.”
Shields was quick to point out that she wore the ensemble in the 1993 filmFreaked— which, notably, was two years beforeCluelesswas released in 1995.
“That was a character!” Shields replied. “I’m gonna ‘hibachi’ it but it was a really good character in a movie that I did called ‘Freaked.’”
Cluelesscostume designer Mona May has previously shared that the iconic yellow plaid outfit Silverstone wore as Cher Horowitz was Dolce & Gabbana.

It’s not known what brand Shields is wearing inFreaked, but the stark similarity between the two ensembles is undeniable, despite some small differences. Silverstone’s look, for example, features a pleated skirt and shorter jacket, whereas Shields wears a straight skirt silhouette and longer jacket.

Silverstone revived her famousCluelessoutfit in a Super Bowl ad for shopping platform Rakuten that aired in 2023, nearly 30 years after the film’s release.Christian Siriano was tapped to design the recreation, which was a modern-day spin on the memorable look. Siriano’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection served as another nod to the film with three plaid,Clueless-inspired ensembles.

Silverstone also paid homage to Cher in 2021 when she announced she was joining TikTok.
“Ugh! As if… I wouldn’t join TikTok,” she captioned her first video on the platform, adding the hashtags, “#Clueless” and “#AsIf.”
In the clip, Silverstone wears a yellow plaid blazer as shereenacts theCluelessscenewhere Cher shakes off an obnoxious male who tries to hit on her and utters her signature phrase, “As if!”
