Calamity Jane,a shoot-’em-up Western featuring the two longtime collaborators, is coming to theaters and digital on Feb. 2. PEOPLE has the exclusive first look at the movie’s action-packed trailer.
Rickards plays the title character, based on the real-life frontierswoman and sharpshooter of the American Old West who became a mythic figure in the late 19th century.
A dashingly long-haired Amell, meanwhile, plays Wild Bill Hickok — another folk hero from that era. This iteration ofCalamity Jane, however, focuses on the aftermath of (spoiler alert!) his murder.

Elsewhere, Calamity is told that seeking justice for Wild Bill’s death is dangerously foolhardy: “You embark on a quest for revenge, you better build two graves. One for them and one for yourself.”
