BrainPort consists of a brace of TV television camera - equipped sunglasses that are themselves attached to a “ popsicle ” that ’s come in in the mouth . Whatever is captured by the camera is converted into electrical pulsation that are place to the spit . The nous then process those those heart rate as pixelated images .
The equipment is still a image , but the former takings are implausibly promising . It ’s a watershed moment in the battle against blindness , and an astonishing gift for one wounded soldier . [ AFP , ITN ]
