A stay-at-home mom and her 3-year-old daughter were among three people fatally shot at her home in South Carolina on Tuesday, say authorities.
Hailey Brown, 29, and her daughter, Sadie Grace Linton, were found dead inside the home in Cheraw, the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
Cordarious Foster, 27, was also found dead inside the house, the sheriff’s office says.
Police have not yet said how Foster knew Brown, who was the mother of two girls — Sadie and her 5-year-old sister, Brown’s mother Sheila told WMBF.

Sheila Brown said that she and her family had known Foster since he was a child and that he often played at their house growing up.
She said her family hadn’t been in contact with him for several yearsafter he moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, with his family, WMBF reports.

The sheriff’s office hasn’t made any arrests in the case but said there “is no threat to the community” after the violence.

In her funeral home obituary, Hailey Brown was remembered as “a proud andloving mother to her children” whose “family was of utmost importance.”
She loved spending time with her children “and giving all the girls manicures and pedicures. She loved the Lord and enjoyed attending Forest Pine Church growing up.”
Funerals for Sadie and Hailey Brown will be held on Saturday.
